It is the policy of Turner County Schools not to discriminate on the basis of gender, age, race, color, disability, religion or national origin in any program or activity, employment, admission, service, or treatment practices.

As required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Turner County School District does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability in admission to its programs, services, or activities, in access to them, in treatment of individuals, or in any aspect of their operations. The Turner County School System offers career and technical education programs at Turner County High School and Turner County Middle School. These programs are designed to prepare youth for a broad range of employment and further education and are offered under the guidance of certified teachers. The following is a list of programs being offered this year and the criteria for admission.
Pathways offered at Turner County High School:
Advanced Academics, World Language, Fine Arts (Music), Agribusiness Systems, Agriculture Leadership in Forestry, Agriculture Leadership in Horticulture, Agriculture Leadership in Plant Science, Forest Management Systems, Forest Mechanical Systems, Forestry / Wildlife Systems, Plant & Floral Design Systems, Plant & Floriculture Systems, Plant & Landscape Systems, Horticulture & Forest Science, AV Technology & Film I, Welding, Therapeutic Services/Patient Care, Personal Care Services/Esthetics, Nutrition & Food Science, Teaching as a Profession, and Manufacturing/Mechatronics (planned for Fall 2027). (Certain pathways, such as Therapeutic Services/Patient Care, may require a background check and/or a social security card for admission to clinical experiences or specialized testing).

Agriculture Education and Computer Science.
All career and technical education programs follow the system’s policies of nondiscrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, and disability in all programs, services, activities, and employment. In addition, arrangements can be made to ensure that the lack of English language proficiency is not a barrier to admission or participation.
